SIL4 train control system that can be overlaid onto the existing signalling equipment providing the highest level of safety. “Eurobalise” pick up signal aspects from the trackside signals via Lineside Electronics Unit (LEU). Telegrams are transmitted to the train as a movement authority together with route data at fixed points. The on-board Electronic Vital Computer (EVC) continuously monitors and calculates the maximum speed and the braking curve from this data.
